In a recent post in SeeNews, Philippine energy developer Basic Energy Corp said Tuesday it has inked a services agreement with local firm FEDS Energy Resources and Development Services Inc for four of its geothermal power schemes in the country.

As part of the deal, FEDS will carry out the review and evaluation of existing data and reconnaissance geological and geochemical field work at the sites, assessing their preliminary technical viability. Upon completion within three months, the result of the study will aid in planning for the detailed surface exploration phase of the East Mankayan, Mariveles, Iriga and West Bulusan geothermal projects.

Further details around the schemes have not been disclosed at this point.
