In a bid to support the growing number of electric vehicles (EVs) in the Philippines, Basic Energy Corporation (BEC) and its partner, Ecology Energy Corp. (EEC), have launched the “Basic Recharge Station” at the EcoOil Station on EDSA Southbound.
This new station provides much-needed access to EV charging facilities to the motoring public, who are increasingly shifting to a transport landscape that is both environmentally impactful and economical.
The soft launch of the Basic Recharge Station was led by BEC chairman Ramon F. Villavicencio and its board and management. The station will accommodate the recharge top-up of up to 3 electric vehicles at the same providing convenience for EV drivers who need to recharge their vehicles while on the road.
BEC said the station is part of BEC’s Green Energy ETransport Program, which advocates for the use of renewable energy to power both private and public-utility EVs. It offers rapid and fast EV chargers, including a 60kW charger with CCS2 connectors and a 20kW GBT charger, respectively.
